4. Plastic Tote Shelter

A very budget-friendly idea is to create a cat house using large plastic storage totes. You will need two totes, one slightly smaller than the other. Cut an entry hole in both, then place the smaller tote inside the larger one with insulation between them. This double-layered structure keeps the cat warm and dry.
