This edgy, fun style features a wide, raised Dutch braid running right down the center of the head, framed by slicked sides. Section off a 2-to-3-inch wide rectangular panel of hair running from the front hairline back to the crown, clipping the side sections down. Weave a thick Dutch braid down the central strip, crossing strands underneath and keeping tension firm. Once you hit the crown, gather the sides and the braid tail into a mid-height or high ponytail. Lightly “pancake” (tug outward on) the loops of the center braid to give it a full, voluminous faux-mohawk look.
