Instead of leaving plastic soap bottles floating loosely near the faucet, this layout groups everything onto a single moisture-resistant tray.
A low marble, slate, or footed teak tray holds a matching pair of glass pump dispensers for hand soap and dish soap, a small ceramic dish for rings or sponges, and a small potted succulent or herb. The containment prevents water rings from staining marble or quartz tops, while making counter wipe-downs effortless—the entire tray lifts off in one movement. The color palette emphasizes crisp white, clear glass, natural green, and polished metal pump nozzles. This practical setup is essential for any main kitchen sink or island counter.
Step-by-Step Creation Method
- Choose a Moisture-Resistant Tray: Select a shallow rectangular tray made of white Carrara marble, slate, footed teak, or glazed ceramic (approximately 10×6 inches).
- Elevate the Base: Stick clear silicone bumper feet to the bottom four corners of the tray base to elevate it slightly off the counter surface, allowing trapped water to dry.
- Decant Soaps: Fill two matching amber or clear glass pump bottles labeled with clean typography—one for hand soap and one for dish soap—and place them on the left side of the tray.
