7. Coasters
Fabric coasters are small, fast to make, and perfect for beginners who want to practice precision sewing.
What you will need:
Fabric scraps, batting (optional), and thread.
Steps:
- Cut two squares of fabric and one of batting.
- Layer them with the batting in the middle and sew around the edges, leaving a small gap.
- Turn it right side out and sew around the border to finish.
Coasters help protect your furniture and are an excellent way to use up leftover fabric. You can make a matching set for your home or as a handmade gift.
