Key Build Steps

  1. Cut matching 6-inch circular holes on the short side of both totes.
  2. Line the bottom and sides of the large 30-gallon tote with 1-inch extruded polystyrene (XPS) rigid foam board.
  3. Place the 18-gallon tote inside, align the doors, and bridge the gap with waterproof Gorilla tape or pipe insulation.
  4. Fill the inner chamber half-full with clean straw and snap both lids securely shut.
