Crafting Method
Cut 1/8-inch basswood slats to 4 inches in length and glue them across three 3/8-inch square wooden stringer runners to replicate an authentic European standard wooden pallet (EUR-pallet). Space the top slats 1/8 inch apart. Use a fine-tip wood burning tool or a miniature custom rubber stamp with archival black ink to stamp vintage warehouse logos, “EUR”, or “HT” (heat treated) shipping marks on the runner sides. Seal the top with water-resistant polyurethane varnish to protect against condensation from cold glasses and hot mugs.
