Execution Process
A matte black and metallic gold mid-century arch frame pairs minimalist geometric lines with high-contrast luxury. Execute this design by cutting an arched plywood backer twenty-four inches wide by thirty-six inches tall, mounting an arched mirror centered with a four-inch border. Trace straight vertical grid lines along the sides and a radiating fan pattern across the top arch. Adhere matte black porcelain square tiles in clean, straight soldier rows along the side borders using dark thin-set mortar. Intersperse slender strips of polished metallic gold mirror glass or gold-leaf smalti at rhythmic intervals, radiating the gold accents out around the top arch curve.
