A timeless, minimalist project featuring delicate pressed botanicals suspended between two sheets of clear glass, encased in an antique brass hinged frame. The wall color shows directly through the glass, making the stems appear weightlessly floating.

Step-by-Step DIY Execution Guide

  • Collect flat-pressing blooms (such as Queen Anne’s lace, maidenhair fern, and wild violas). Press them in a wooden press for 2 to 3 weeks until completely dry and paper-thin.

  • Clean both glass panes of a double-glass hinged brass frame ($8times10$ inches) thoroughly with isopropyl alcohol to remove all dust and fingerprints.

  • Using precision tweezers, arrange the pressed botanicals on the bottom glass pane in a graceful, asymmetrical vertical flow.

  • Apply microscopic dots of clear acid-free PVA glue to the back of the central stems and petals using a toothpick to prevent shifting.

  • Carefully lower the top glass pane over the arrangement and secure the vintage brass side latch.
