An orderly, historical collection inspired by 19th-century scientific botanist journals. Individual pressed specimens are mounted centered on vintage-toned parchment, labeled with handwritten Latin botanical names in calligraphy.

Step-by-Step DIY Execution Guide

  • Source a set of 4 or 6 identical small wooden frames ($5times7$ inches) in warm walnut or aged gold.

  • Cut tea-stained or natural linen-textured cardstock to fit each frame.

  • Center a single pressed botanical specimen (e.g., wild fern, red clover, lavender stalk, dandelion leaf) on each sheet.

  • Glue the specimen flat using archival PVA glue.

  • Using a fine-tip archival calligraphy pen, write the Latin botanical name, common name, and collection date at the bottom of the cardstock.

  • Mount inside frames and hang them in a tight $2times2$ or $2times3$ symmetrical grid on your wall.
