The floating cheesecloth ghost and spiderweb hybrid garland merges dimensional, sculptural fabric figures with continuous horizontal cobweb swags. The little ghosts are formed by draping stiffened, shredded cheesecloth over wooden craft balls or foam spheres, creating hollow, floating phantom shapes with flowing tattered robes. Execute this design by forming six miniature cheesecloth ghosts: insert a wooden craft skewer into a two-inch smooth foam craft ball to act as a handle, painting two black oval eyes onto the front. Cut four eight-inch square layers of unbleached cheesecloth for each ghost, dipping the fabric squares in a mixture of equal parts PVA white craft glue and warm water.
