6. Simple Polymer Clay Bird
Birds are incredibly easy because most are made with a teardrop body shape. Start with one main teardrop and lay it on its side. Add a small spherical head on top. Wings are made from tiny teardrops attached to the side of the body, and the tail can be a single flat shape or three small pointed pieces.
A tiny cone shaped beak completes the face. Use bright clay colors for tropical birds or soft tones for a cute chick. Birds can sit on small clay branches or rest in a nest made from scrap clay pieces twisted together.

This project is great for beginners because you can experiment with many colors and shapes.
