5. Easy Polymer Clay Elephant
Elephants may look complex, but with a simple approach they become a very easy beginner project. The body is a large rounded shape, while the head is a slightly smaller sphere. The standout feature is the trunk, which is just a long cylinder that bends downward. Attach it to the center of the face and blend the seam.
For ears, use large rounded pieces that flatten against the sides of the head. Short stumpy legs can be added underneath, and a tiny tail finishes the shape.
Use gray clay for a traditional look or pastel colors for a whimsical version. You can also add small white tusks using thin pieces of clay.
