Select a pristine, fully dried pressed fern frond or slender larkspur stem. Using fine-tipped craft tweezers, gently lift the botanical specimen and place it in the exact geometric center of the bottom glass pane. If needed, apply a microscopic dot of clear archival glue with a toothpick to the back of the central stem to prevent slipping. Carefully align and lower the top glass pane directly over the specimen, pressing firmly to sandwich the flower without sliding the glass. Fasten the outer metal frame clasps or slide the glass sandwich into a wooden floating frame channel.
