Step-by-Step DIY Execution Guide

  • Take a 14-inch circular metal brass craft ring. Cut 64 cords of 3mm single-twist cotton cord to 3 feet each.

  • Mount cords around the entire perimeter of the ring using Lark’s Head knots, grouping them in sets of four.

  • Knot a continuous outer row of Square Knots around the ring, followed by an alternating row of triangle peaks.

  • Work a final outer ring of Double Half-Hitch knots to frame the sunburst pattern.

  • Trim the remaining cord ends to a uniform 2.5-inch length.

  • Brush the outer fringe completely with a wire comb into a smooth, radiating halo, and secure a flat 8-inch round mirror to the back center using heavy-duty craft adhesive.
