Step-by-Step DIY Execution Guide

  • Cut a $16times6$-inch solid pine wood board (0.75-inch thick) and drill four 0.5-inch holes in each corner.

  • Mount eight 16-foot cords of 5mm 3-ply cotton rope onto a 20-inch wooden dowel.

  • Divide the cords into two outer groups of four. Knot two symmetrical 18-inch long spiral sinnet bands (half square knots) or flat square knot sennits.

  • Thread the cord ends through the pre-drilled holes in the wood shelf board.

  • Tie large, secure double overhand knots directly beneath each hole, ensuring the wooden shelf rests level.

  • Unravel and comb the remaining cord ends beneath the shelf into four 6-inch decorative tassels.
