Step-by-Step DIY Execution Guide

  • Coil an 8-inch flat base using 6mm 3-ply twisted jute rope and high-temp hot glue (or a heavy-duty denim needle).

  • Transition to the vertical walls, coiling 6 rows of jute rope.

  • Cut the jute rope at a 45-degree taper. Butt the cut end of a 1/4-inch white cotton clothesline directly against the jute taper.

  • Continue coiling and stitching with the white cotton rope for another 8 rows.

  • Form integrated rope loop handles on row 14 by leaving a 4-inch slack arch unstitched on opposite sides, then stitching the final row directly over the handle anchors.

  • Insert a clear plastic drip saucer into the bottom before adding a potted houseplant.
