Step-by-Step DIY Execution Guide

  • Measure the exact internal width, length, and depth of your target drawer.

  • Cut 2-ply solid chipboard strips to the measured drawer depth (e.g., 3 inches tall).

  • Cut interlocking slots halfway through the width of the strips at 3-inch intervals using a craft scalpel.

  • Cut strips of unbleached cotton or linen fabric 1 inch wider than your cardboard strips.

  • Apply a thin, even coat of PVA glue to the cardboard and wrap the linen smoothly around each divider strip, tucking excess fabric around the ends.

  • Re-cut the fabric over the interlocking slots once dry.

  • Interlock the vertical and horizontal strips inside the drawer to form a custom grid.
