Step-by-Step DIY Execution Guide

  • Cut three shallow square bases ($7times7times1.25$ inches) from 2mm dense greyboard.

  • Wrap the exterior perimeter of each tray in high-gloss marble contact paper.

  • For the ring tray: Roll small tubes of bubble wrap or foam, wrap them tightly in plush velvet fabric, and line them up tightly inside the tray cavity to hold rings.

  • For the compartment tray: Glue $1.5times1.5$-inch square velvet-lined chipboard boxes inside.

  • Build a 0.25-inch recessed lip on the bottom of each tray so they nest securely on top of each other.
