Step-by-Step DIY Execution Guide

  • Cut an open-topped storage pocket ($10times8times3$ inches) from sturdy cardboard.

  • Reinforce internal corners with strips of cotton canvas glued with PVA.

  • Cut two identical 2-inch wide cardboard strips, beveling one long edge of each at a 45-degree angle.

  • Glue one beveled cleat horizontally across the upper back of the storage pocket (angle facing down and inward).

  • Mount the matching wall cleat horizontally to the wall with drywall anchors (angle facing up and outward).

  • Paint the pocket in a muted sage-green chalk paint and drop it onto the wall cleat for a flush, removable mount.
